Effective Event Management successfully developed and implemented the Starbucks Chill Patrol program in both the Seattle and Vancouver markets. This summer event marketing program was created to help Starbucks increase awareness of their new FrappuccinoŽ Blended Beverage flavours. It gave their target market the chance to try the product with complimentary samples, and encouraged future trackable purchases with coupons.
Over the summer, beautiful custom decaled Chill Patrol VW vans visited community festivals, fairs, parades, and sporting events throughout the Lower Mainland and western Washington. Many potential new Starbucks customers were given the opportunity to see, touch, smell and most importantly TASTE the new products. Statistical results of Chill Patrol exposure and the number of people who saw the team, tried the samples, received coupons, and redeemed coupons, were compiled to measure the effectiveness of the program.
Well-trained, knowledgeable and friendly Chill Patrol team members were always ready to field all consumer questions, comments and suggestions. Through one-on-one interactions, many memorable Starbucks customer relationships were forged.
