Professional Involvement

Effective Event Management is committed to the development of the event industry as a whole, as well as the Vancouver business community. Eileen Bistrisky, Owner and Founding Director, is involved with numerous industry associations.

Canadian Event Perspective

Eileen is on the Canadian Event Perspective National Advisory Council and now judges the Canadian Event Industry Awards.

International Special Events Society

Eileen is a Past President of the Vancouver Chapter of the International Special Events Society (ISES) and has served as Western Regional Vice President of the Association. She is a grader for the CSEP certification, and has judged at the Esprit Awards.

BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association

Eileen sat on the board of the BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association (BCAMA) and was chair of the Vision Conference for 2004.

Summits of Hope

Eileen is involved with Summits of Hope, an organization that climbs mountains for BC Children's Hospital. She climbed Mount Elbrus in Russia in 2004.

Vancouver Executives Association

Eileen has served as a director of the Vancouver Executives Association (VANEX).

Canadian Special Event Society

Eileen is a supporter of the Canadian Special Event Society (CSES).

ProMOTION Plus

Eileen has served on the board of Promotion Plus, an advocacy group for girls and women in physical activity and sport.
