French Dressing Jeanswear Women's 8K - Sunday, September 8

VANCOUVER - The French Dressing Jeanswear Women's 8K will take place at Nat Bailey Stadium on Sunday, September 8 at 8:30 a.m. Thirteen years ago, this premier running event was initiated to fill a niche in the local road racing market. Women of all fitness levels are invited to race, run, jog or walk the scenic 8K course through Queen Elizabeth Park and surrounding residential streets. The 4K walk is open to both men and women, and it follows its own well-marked route.

Committed to making a difference, participants are encouraged to raise pledges to support breast cancer research through the BC Cancer Foundation. The French Dressing Jeanswear Women's 8K supports the BC Cancer Agency's world-leading breast cancer research programs. Last year's event attracted 1,500 participants, and over $60,000 was raised towards this worthy cause. New pledge incentive programs have been put into place this year to help increase the money raised.
